My Dad had open heart surgery in July.The nursing care he received was exemplary. I would expect the nurses to be smart, responsive and on top of things, which they were. What impressed me the most though was the level of caring towards patients, their families and especially to one another and all members of the multidisciplinary team. It would be easy working in critical care to focus on physical needs and not the psychosocial and emotional care that is so important, especially at critical times like this and they went above and beyond.
