My stay has been a hard one as I have been by myself with my newborn through the duration. Tonight a nurse made me feel human for the first time in my stay. Ashley didn't make me feel like a nuisance and insisted to watch my son while I took a moment to myself and shower. It improved my mental health tremendously and pushed me through my last night in hospital. I will bring this experience and her caring natureninto my own future nursing career. It's the Little things sometimes.
